Pre Production Documentation
Minutes: This is where we updated our progress. It was our instant record of our meetings and hearings.
For example, "We wrote up a synopsis for our short film". Updating everything through minutes helped us to guide ourselves through the whole process, which made things more manageable. Minutes helped when if a member of the team was absent, they could log onto teams and reflect and refresh themselves on the progress of the group. This is evidently useful in film because if a producer of a film is ill, they can catch up and remind themselves of what is going on.

Budgeting: This is where we carefully considerated how much our props would cost, for example the pizza we used, which costed around £20. We displayed our budgeting through a Microsoft publisher spreadsheet. This taught me organisational skills such as displaying information through a spreadsheet, which may come in handy down the line.
Storyboard: This is a photographic sequence of events that are going to occur in a film. We used the storyboard to display the events of our film in chronological order. In our case, our film "Un scary movie" is a parody film based on franchises such as 'Scary movie'. The storyboard helped us to imagine and hypothesize our film through imagery. The storyboard helped me thoroughly understand each plot point of the film. From the first picture I am instantly reminded of a girl looking through a menu online ordering a pizza.
Production Schedule: The production schedule is a project plan of how a film will be produced over a certain timeline. The superb layout of the document helped me to instantly keep track of when and where the film's production is going to take place. We did not run into any problems, and that evidently shows how useful production schedules are. Maybe next production a member of the group should have a physical copy of the production schedule on set, this may help keeping up exactly with the schedule.

Synopsis: The synopsis was an integral part of pre production. It helped us think through and imagine the plot in our heads. A synopsis is a condensed statement, a brief general summary of a plot. The synopsis was the backbone of the entire production, because without it we would have no summary to report back to upon confusion. The synopsis is also useful if we wanted to initially pitch our idea to someone else, possibly a filmmaker. It is important to have these documents at our disposal for these reasons.
Shot list: A shot list is a document that maps out each individual shot of a film or production. In our case, our movie was only 60 seconds long, so fortunately, our shot list wasn't very long. The shot list was useful because it helped us to carefully and precisely follow a tight regime of shots. This made sure we didn't zone out and forget certain shots. However the only thing I would change about the shot list is to maybe in future make it more detailed of what each shot contains. But in general the shot list helped us greatly in terms of production.

Risk assessment: A risk assessment is a systematic process of evaluating the potential risks that may be involved in a projected activity or undertaking. The risk assessment is the key document in order to ensure the cast and crew members full and documented safety. The risk assessment was a key part in our production because it made us feel more confident within ourselves that we were safe and risk free, and if any risks or hazards were to come up, we would be aware of them and handle them efficiently and responsibly. Risk assessments are used by productions and filmmakers all around the planet, for the exact reason me and my team used them.
